Obituary
Obituaries
A Karmacharya priest to look after the Chinnamasta temple at Changu Narayan, she died to the devastating 7.8 Mw earthquake that struck on 25 April 2015, Saturday (12 Baisakh 2072 BS). She went home (at south-east corner of the Chaughera sattal at temple premise) to place the offerings at Chinnamasta minutes before the disaster and was trapped at the stairs of her home.
We express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. May her departed soul rest in peace.

Abstract:
The oldest dated inscription in the Kathmandu Valley, originally brought to light by Bhagvanlal Indraji and later by Sylvain Lévi, is inscribed on a stone pillar at the temple of Changu Narayan. This article provides the text, a new translation, and new photographs of the inscription.
