Obituary
Obituaries
A Karmacharya priest to look after the Chinnamasta temple at Changu Narayan, she died to the devastating 7.8 Mw earthquake that struck on 25 April 2015, Saturday (12 Baisakh 2072 BS). She went home (at south-east corner of the Chaughera sattal at temple premise) to place the offerings at Chinnamasta minutes before the disaster and was trapped at the stairs of her home.
We express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. May her departed soul rest in peace.

Reconstruction of Bouddhanath after April - May 2015 earthquake
The Bouddha Stupa (Bouddhanath or Khasti chaitya) was damaged by 7.8 Mw Gorkha earthquake (April - May 2015). The following photograph was clicked in December 2015 when reconstruction works were carried out.
